Fantastic little place that I wish was here went I went to college. Being Turkish, I am always looking for good Turkish food. This place did not disappoint,.the gözleme (flatbread) was authentic and very light. The crust on the lahmacun was crispy and thin. Su borek was very good and made in-house. Didn't get to try the manti, but saw it on a neighboring table and it looked very good. Very friendly staff and overall great experience. Will definitely return! Thank you!

Ordered a variety of dishes for a work function where guests included vegetarians and very meat-and-potato kind of eaters. Everyone LOVED it! My favorites were the Iskander Kabob and both the vegetarian and meat manti, but also the grape leaves and eggplant salad are not to be missed.
Our food was delicious and service spot on. The Ayasofya Kofte, baklava, and turkish coffee was particularly good. Will definitely be back next time I am in Kalamazoo!
I've been here three times in one week! This place is THAT GOOD! Here's why: - Almost every dish is delicious, whether sweet or savory! You won’t be disappointed no matter what you order. Everything is expertly made with passion, and all the meat is Halal! - The owner and staff are incredibly kind and attentive—they truly know how to take care of their customers. - The prices are reasonable—you can enjoy a filling meal for two for around $40. - The portion sizes are just right for the price. - The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, though it could use more color and decorative touches. Since the place is still new, I’m sure it will improve over time. Overall: The restaurant doesn’t have a big sign yet, so it might be easy to miss—but don’t! Step inside and enjoy some incredible, flavorful food without hesitation!
Ayasofya Turkish Restaurant is an absolute gem in Kalamazoo. The food is incredibly fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care—every dish we tried was delicious and authentic. The meats were perfectly seasoned, the bread was warm and soft, and the portions were generous. On top of that, the service was friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making the whole experience even better. The cozy atmosphere really adds to the charm. Highly recommend Ayasofya to anyone looking for amazing Turkish cuisine—this place never disappoints!
We are adding this to our regular go out spots in Kalamazoo. The food was outstanding. The salad fresh. The donner like I last had in Berlin. Portions were crazy generous and inexpensive. Service was friendly and helpful. The restaurant was clean bright, and the bathroom spotless. Really a gem.
Was a delicious lunch today. First time there. Had the Doner plate, the small beef dumplings and the appetizer plate that had a delicious cheese pastry. All so good. Service was great. Very nice staff and atmosphere. I will be back
